Sunbet, the online brand of South African casino group Sun International, has renewed its contract with platform provider Bede Gaming.
The two companies have worked together for nearly ten years. Over that time Sunbet has grown from a South African operation into a business that also serves Botswana and Namibia, with the expansion built on Bede’s internationally configurable platform.
The renewal comes after Sun International reported strong digital growth in its first-half update for 2026.
The numbers
- 36% year-on-year increase in revenue for Sunbet
- 43% overall rise in iGaming gross gaming revenue
- Three markets: South Africa, Botswana and Namibia
Sunbet offers sports betting, casino and live casino across online and mobile channels. Bede has supported the brand with tailored features and third-party integrations, including the Kambi sportsbook and the Xtremepush CRM platform.

Why it matters for platform providers
Switching platforms is expensive and carries operational risk, which is why long-running contracts are valued by suppliers. A renewal backed by double-digit revenue growth gives Bede a reference client in Africa as it seeks other operator customers.
