Corrections

How to report an error in a Gamblita story, how we review correction requests, and how corrections are dated and labelled in published articles.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

We aim to be accurate, and when we get something wrong we correct it openly. This page explains how to tell us about a mistake and what happens next.

How to request a correction

Email [email protected] with:

  • The URL of the article
  • What you believe is wrong, quoting the relevant text
  • The correct information and, where possible, a source we can check it against
  • Your name and, if relevant, your connection to the story

We aim to reply within two working days. We review every request, check it against our sources and, where needed, contact the people involved.

How we label corrections

When we correct a factual error, we update the article and add a dated note at the end explaining what was changed. For example: “Correction, 23 October 2026: An earlier version of this article gave the wrong licence date. It has been updated.”

Minor fixes that do not change the meaning of a story, such as spelling or formatting, may be made without a note.

Clarifications and updates

If a story was accurate but could be misread, we may add a clarification. If new information emerges after publication, such as a company response, we may update the article and note the update with its date.

What we do not do

We do not remove accurate reporting because a company or person would prefer it was not published. We do not quietly rewrite stories to hide errors. Requests to remove content are considered on their merits, for example where there is a legal reason or a risk to someone’s safety.
