LCKY Group has completed its takeover of RoyalCasino, one of the largest online casino operators in Denmark, after the transaction received every approval it needed.
The two companies agreed terms earlier in 2026 and the deal closed in August. RoyalCasino now sits within LCKY’s brand portfolio, and work on integrating the two businesses has already begun.
RoyalCasino operates solely in Denmark, where it holds a strong position. LCKY intends to help it launch its brands in other markets as the next stage of the combination.
The deal in numbers
- Revenue: forecast increase of 18–20% at group level
- EBITDA: forecast increase of 29–31% at group level
- Completion: August 2026, after all approvals were granted
- Footprint: RoyalCasino is active only in Denmark
The expected profit uplift is larger than the revenue gain, which suggests LCKY anticipates savings from running both companies on shared operations.
What the companies said
Richard Brown, chief executive of LCKY Group, said the deal increased the group’s scale and opened “clear opportunities to strengthen our presence in Denmark”, which he described as “a market that aligns closely with our focus on regulated, sustainable growth”.
He said LCKY would work with RoyalCasino to “drive synergies that can create long-term value”.
Per Petersen, chief executive of RoyalCasino, described Denmark as a market with high levels of innovation and competition. “We see the combination of our local expertise and LCKY’s scale and pedigree as a great recipe for shared success,” he said.
Why it matters for suppliers
Denmark is among Europe’s most established regulated online markets. When operators combine there, back-end arrangements covering platforms, game content and payments are often reassessed, so suppliers to either business will be watching how the integration proceeds.
