Media Troopers, a digital marketing and customer acquisition group that works for major US gambling operators, is extending its performance marketing business into mainstream financial, business and news publishing.
The company plans to apply the technology, data and audience acquisition methods it built in regulated US online gambling to publishers outside the sector.
It cited prediction markets as one reason for the move. Because these markets cover finance, politics, sports, entertainment and news, their potential customers overlap with the audiences of general publishers. That gives an acquisition specialist reason to buy media in places that gambling operators have not traditionally used. It also lets the company offer its existing skills to publishers that want to earn more from audiences interested in markets, politics, sport and current affairs.
The company has not said which publishers it will work with first.
The first visible part of the expansion is NEXTPredict NYC, a conference in October 2026 covering prediction markets, gaming, finance, technology and media. The event brings together the sectors whose audiences the company now wants to reach.

What the company said
Shmulik Segal, chief executive of Media Troopers, said: “Mainstream financial, business and news publishers are increasingly relevant acquisition channels for our customers.”
Why it matters
Acquisition firms built in gambling bring attribution tracking and established publisher-buying relationships. Two open questions are whether that level of attribution works with publishers that rarely sell on a cost-per-acquisition basis, and how state rules on advertising prediction markets will develop.
