Italian affiliate portal Casino2k was named a finalist in two categories at the EGR Italy Awards 2026, a year after it won the Casino Affiliate award.

The company was shortlisted for both Casino Affiliate and Affiliate of the Year. Neither went its way: Hub Affiliations took both prizes, and Casino2k publicly congratulated its rival on the result.

The ceremony took place at the Rome Cavalieri hotel and drew operators, suppliers and affiliates active in Italy’s regulated online gambling sector.

What the company said

Salvatore Martorana, co-founder and editor of Casino2k, said the double shortlisting counted as a success in itself. “Although we didn’t win an award, being shortlisted in two categories was already a victory for us,” he said.

He added that the team would carry on with its existing approach: “We will continue to work with consistency and dedication, doing something we firmly believe in.”

About Casino2k

Casino2k has been active in Italy’s regulated gambling market for close to two decades. Alongside its editorial content, it runs a forum where players can ask for free help when they are in a dispute with an online operator, including cases where withdrawals have not been paid.

  • Market: Italy’s regulated online gambling sector
  • 2025 result: winner, Casino Affiliate, EGR Italy Awards
  • 2026 result: finalist in Casino Affiliate and Affiliate of the Year
  • Player support: more than €1.9m recovered for players over the years, according to the company

Why it matters for the affiliate sector

Italy’s affiliate market operates under tight advertising restrictions, which places more weight on editorial and community services. Casino2k’s dispute forum gives it a role in player complaints that sits outside a standard comparison or review model, and the company points to the sums recovered as evidence of that work.

For Hub Affiliations, winning both affiliate categories marks a clean sweep of the segment at this year’s Italian awards.
