Swiss Casinos has finished rolling out ReelLink, its in-house platform for running online game content on physical slot machines, across all four of its casinos.
The system went live in Winterthur and Pfäffikon in December 2025 and was extended to Zurich and St Gallen in July 2026. The company now plans to take the platform outside Switzerland, working with game providers and other operators.
ReelLink separates game content from the cabinet and connects it to the casino’s existing management system, so player tracking, accounting and regulatory reporting continue unchanged.
The rollout in numbers
- Four venues: Zurich, Pfäffikon (Casino Zürichsee), Winterthur and St Gallen
- 24 machines currently running ReelLink
- 17 more planned before the end of the year, for 41 in total
- Live since December 2025 in the first two venues
What the company said
Marcel Tobler, CEO of Swiss Casinos AG, said: “We built ReelLink to change how players experience a casino floor.” He said having it running across all four sites “shows the idea holds up in a live environment”.
Thomas Cavelti, casino director at Casino Zürichsee in Pfäffikon, said adding a new machine had always carried risk “because you commit to the hardware before you know whether players will take to the game”. He added: “ReelLink takes most of that away.”
Deborah Conte Santoro, managing director of ReelLink, said the platform addresses “the content gap between online and the casino floor”.

Why it matters for land-based operators
Casino floors have traditionally changed slowly because each new game typically means new or reconfigured hardware. A platform that streams content to existing cabinets could let venues test titles with less upfront spend and use play data to decide which games to keep.
ReelLink uses a unit inside each cabinet to control the bill validator, ticket-in ticket-out, buttons and lighting, while games stream from the studios’ own servers. Swiss Casinos reports that the system has been certified by BMM Testlabs and approved by Swiss regulator ESBK.
