Why Catena Media is buying
Unlike buybacks designed to cancel shares, this programme is meant to cover the company’s obligations under its long-term incentive plans for staff. It was announced on 10 September 2026 and runs until the 2027 annual general meeting at the latest, with a ceiling of 4,713,747 shares or SEK 28m.
Catena Media has now acquired 790,000 shares under the current programme, roughly 17% of the share limit. Including shares bought earlier, it held 3,914,309 of its own shares on 23 October, about 5% of the 78,774,442 shares in issue.
Part of a busy buyback week
Catena Media was one of several listed gambling companies in Stockholm reporting repurchases for the same week. Kambi took its programme past 478,000 shares, while Evolution spent around SEK 373m in five days.
Headquartered in Malta, Catena Media generates leads for online casino and sports betting operators through its portfolio of affiliate brands. It employs more than 150 people, and its shares trade on Nasdaq Stockholm Small Cap.
