B2B iGaming marketing and PR agency GameOn has appointed Laura Taylor to its Fractional CMO team.

Taylor joins from Games Global, where she was Senior Brand Manager. She has more than 15 years of experience in the sector across brand, marketing strategy and communications, including earlier roles at Microgaming.

In her new role she will work as an embedded senior marketing partner inside client teams, rather than as an external adviser.

The role

Taylor’s remit at GameOn covers:

  • Marketing strategy and brand positioning
  • Campaign planning
  • Guidance for client marketing teams
  • Delivery of key marketing initiatives

GameOn’s Fractional CMO service is designed to give iGaming businesses access to senior marketing leadership without the cost or long-term commitment of a permanent in-house hire.

What GameOn said

Alex Wilson, Head of Marketing Division at GameOn, said Taylor “brings exactly the combination of strategic thinking, industry experience and hands-on delivery” the agency was looking for. He added that she was “a brilliant fit for the way we work at GameOn, becoming part of the client’s team”.

Taylor said: “Every business has different priorities and challenges.” She said the model “gives clients access to senior marketing expertise that can flex around what they actually need”.

Why it matters

Part-time and fractional executive roles have become more common across iGaming, particularly among fast-growing studios and platforms that are not yet large enough to justify a permanent chief marketing officer. Agencies offering the model tend to compete on the operating experience of the people they place, which makes hires from large suppliers such as Games Global significant.
