Wazdan has launched in South Africa through an agreement with Hollywoodbets, one of the country’s best-known betting brands.

Hollywoodbets will integrate an initial ten Wazdan titles. The games will be delivered through Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform, rather than through a direct connection between the supplier and the operator.

South Africa joins the list of regulated markets where Wazdan supplies games, which the company puts at more than 40.

  • 9 Coins
  • 9 Coins 1000 Edition
  • 9 Coins Grand Gold Edition
  • Burning Sun
  • Hot Slot: 777 Crown
  • Hot Slot Mystery Jackpot Joker
  • Magic Spins

What the companies said

Bekki D’Agata, Commercial Director at Wazdan, said: “South Africa is an exciting addition to our international footprint.” She added that the company’s “approach to expansion is centred on finding the right partners in each market”.

Wayde Dorkin, head of product at Hollywoodbets, said the operator is “always looking to bring fresh and distinctive content” to its games offering.

Why it matters

Using Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform allows Wazdan to reach a major South African operator without building and certifying a separate integration. For Hollywoodbets, the arrangement adds a new supplier’s catalogue through a technical connection it already uses.

The initial batch of ten titles leans on established Wazdan franchises such as 9 Coins, Hot Slot and Power of Gods, giving the operator recognisable series to start with. Further titles could follow if the first set performs.
