Inspired Entertainment’s online slots went live with 13 operators in Alberta on 13 July 2026, the day the province opened its online gaming market to private operators.

Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) approved Inspired as an iGaming Goods or Services Supplier ahead of the launch. No financial details were disclosed.

Play Alberta is the government’s own platform, and it continues to operate alongside the private operators now entering the market.

Brooks Pierce, president and chief executive of Inspired Entertainment, said the launch “represents an important milestone for the Canadian gaming industry”.

Why it matters

Alberta follows Ontario as the second Canadian province to open its online market to private operators. Securing a supplier approval in time for the opening, and going live with a large group of operators at once, places Inspired’s content across most of the major brands entering the province.

The list mixes large international sportsbook groups, such as bet365, DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM, with Canadian brands including Sports Interaction and The Score, as well as the government-run Play Alberta. That spread means Inspired’s content is available both to players moving from the provincial site and to those joining new private brands.

Inspired did not publish its AGLC approval number or give details of its individual operator agreements.
