Stakelogic has launched its slots with CasinoBarcelona.es, the online platform of Casino Barcelona, adding one of Spain’s longest-established casino brands to its operator list.
The games are delivered through Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform. It is Stakelogic’s third Spanish integration through Light & Wonder this year, after go-lives with Gran Madrid Casino Online and Luckia.
A brand players know from the casino floor
Casino Barcelona opened in 1978, shortly after games of chance were legalised in Spain, and now operates from the city’s Port Olímpic, next to the Hotel Arts. Its online site followed in 2012 and is licensed by Spain’s gambling regulator, the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ).
The brand belongs to Casinos Grup Peralada, which has run casinos in Catalonia for more than four decades and also owns Casino Peralada and Casino Tarragona. The group’s Spanish venues were the first land-based casinos in the country certified under the European Casino Association’s Responsible Gambling Framework.
The launch comes as Stakelogic keeps expanding its library, most recently with Sunken City Riches.
Roberto Navarrete, Senior Account Manager at Stakelogic, said:
“Casino Barcelona has been around since the late seventies, so many of the players on its online platform will have come to know the brand on the casino floor first. That’s a different starting point from a digital-only operator, and one we value.
“We’ve been steadily adding Spanish partners through Light & Wonder, and seeing our slots go live with a name that has this much history behind it is a good fit for where we want to be in the market.”
Aarón Morano Chamorro, Product Manager at CasinoBarcelona.es, added:
“Stakelogic already has a following among Spanish players, so bringing its slots into our lobby through Light & Wonder made sense for us.
“Our players expect variety whenever they log in, and this gives them a fresh set of games from a studio they may well have played elsewhere.”
