Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has opened its renovated race and sportsbook, run by William Hill, the Nevada sports betting business owned by Caesars Entertainment. The rebuilt venue, which reopened on 6 November, has new screens and sound, club-level seating and a refurbished bar next door.

What has changed

The sportsbook covers about 3,400 sq ft. Its main features are:

  • Wagering: 12 William Hill self-service kiosks, plus eight racing carrels with individually controlled screens.
  • Viewing: large LED displays that can be reconfigured for different events, and a new sound system.
  • Seating: room for more than 100 fans, with two VIP lounge areas that have sectional seating and their own televisions.
  • Finish: new seating, carpets and wall finishes throughout.

The adjacent sportsbook bar covers about 1,400 sq ft and seats more than 70. It has a new oval screen above the bar and more bar-top gaming. Visitors can also sign up to the William Hill Nevada mobile app at the sportsbook and make deposits and withdrawals on site, then bet anywhere in the state.
