EGT Digital, the Bulgarian iGaming supplier, has been granted two accreditations by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

The first covers game content provision for electronic casino games and sports betting. The second is a separate accreditation for game aggregation, which permits the company to carry games from other suppliers.

Together they cover EGT Digital’s in-house casino games, its sportsbook and its aggregation product. No accreditation numbers were published and no operator partners were named.

The aggregation approval is the more unusual of the two. It allows EGT Digital to act as a distribution hub for third-party content in the Philippines, rather than supplying only its own games, which widens what it can offer to operators there.

What the company said

Mariana Manchina, director of EGT Philippines, described the accreditations as “an important milestone for EGT Philippines”.

The Philippine context

PAGCOR both regulates and operates gambling in the Philippines. Its recent policy direction has been towards tighter control, including winding down the offshore operator regime and building out accreditation and testing systems. The regulator publishes a list of accredited service providers, which operators can use to confirm a supplier’s status before signing an agreement.

In that environment, holding formal accreditation for both content and aggregation positions a supplier to work with locally licensed operators as the market’s rules tighten.
