Bede Gaming has had its platform certified against the GLI-19 and GLI-33 technical standards following a multi-month audit by testing body eCOGRA.
The Newcastle-based platform provider announced the certifications on 30 July 2026. They add to the ISO 27001 and WLA-SCS standards the company already held.
Between them, the two GLI standards cover both the casino-style and the sports betting sides of Bede’s platform, reflecting a client base that spans several verticals. For operators, a certified platform offers independent evidence of how the system has been built and controlled.
What the standards cover
- GLI-19: the standard for interactive gaming systems, covering account management, platform security, operational controls, game integration and core technology
- GLI-33: the standard for event wagering, setting technical requirements for sportsbook and betting operations
Certification is not a licence. A licence is permission from a regulator to operate, while certification is an independent technical test of a system. Certified evidence can speed up licensing in some jurisdictions, but it does not replace it. Operators reviewing a supplier can ask for the certificate itself, which states the system version tested and the date.
What the companies said
Gerrard Thompson, head of risk and compliance at Bede Gaming, said the certifications “provide absolute clarity on the maturity of our platform, processes, and governance controls”.
Aoife Nic Chuirc of eCOGRA said Bede’s “commitment to quality and compliance was clear from the outset”.
